San Fransisco duo The Jealous Guys, who you might but probably don’t remember from their strangely underpublicized Clams Casino collab “Brainwashed by London”, return. Like fellow new-new-Bay rap duo Main Attrakionz, The Guys’ greatest talents come in the form of finding lush and bizarre productions and then just letting their raps melt into them. “Genesis,” produced by estranged (allegedly?) Weeknd producer Jeremy “Zodiac” Rose, is a blur of morbid imagery—holocaust burns, rotting flowers and cemeteries. Taken from their forthcoming Audio Book EP, which will be produced entirely by Zodiac.
