Pretty undeniable dark popistry from London's 19 year old Charli XCX. "Nuclear Seasons" is her second collaboration with co-writer and producer Ariel Rechtshaid (Glasser, Cass McCombs, Alex Clare). On the chorus she slides her voice in every direction, dipping low as if to build up steam for the high notes. I'm alone in the backseat goin' oh, oh, oh, oh rolls out like a boxer with the fastest hands, just perfect rhythm and to-the-gut delivery. It's crazy promising, the sound of someone becoming famous.
