Starting Thursday, one of the pillars of high art in New York City, Lincoln Center, will be turned into a five-day gore-fest. To celebrate Halloween, The Film Society of Lincoln Center is hosting Scary Movies 5, a marathon of scary shit projected at the Walter Reade Theater, one of LC's beautiful Upper West Side auditoriums. Poltergeist is on the bill, but so is weird campy, B-list movie, Re-Animator , and a really screwed-up-sounding horror movie from Korea called The Cat about a pet groomer that we probably won't see because we are WIMPS.
