The News recently invited us to their spring preview, a day in autumn in which they show off off everything they've got for the upcoming season. We headed down to their massive cast iron showroom in an old Soho loft, and though there's a lot to choose from on their spring racks, we did our best to pick some of the key items that we hope to rock next year.

Tim Coppens wowed us with this deathly amazing jacket made out of an old oriental carpet and white leather sleeves. He left the edges rough on purpose, but even a bit shaggy, the craftsmanship of the piece just feels like luxury. For the rest of Coppens' collection, he stayed within the neutral color spectrum of blacks, blues (pictured above) and one amazing suede bomber

White Mountaineering worked with some wild, on-trend prints, but rendered them truly wearable. The green printed knit cardigan and shorts were our two favorites, and we can happily imagine fitting both items into our spring wardrobe. The Japanese company also did an inverted madras that, after too many seasons of Americana influence, made preppy feel fresh again.

White is a huge trend for spring 2012, and we've been scouring the market to find the perfect pieces to throw into our closets. R13 did some amazing white essentials, like this leather motorcycle jacker with bad-ass zipper details.

Cheap Monday did a lot of dope bright colors for next spring. The neon flats and yellow cropped tee were some of our favorites.

Anniel is an old Italian show company that continues to create some awesome soft leather and canvas shoes, all of which will be perfect for the warmer days of spring and summer. Polka dot shoes are a rare treat, and their slim suede desert boots are basically perfect.
