Madlib invited Freddie Gibbs onstage in San Francisco last Friday night to announce Thuggin, a collaborative six-song EP. 500 gold-sleeved copies of the project— released by Stones Throw imprint Madlib Invazion—were sold after that show. Today the EP is streaming and for sale at their site. On the title track, below, Gibbs' breathless delivery finds space, spreading evenly across Madlib's bleary, blinking soul beat.
