Video: Riff Raff, "Rice Out" (Prod. by Diplo and Derek Allen)

When America's rapper with the most interesting irises, Riff Raff, released his similarly titled "I Shoulda Brought The Rice Out" in May, he said that "'bringing the rice out' means that you push extremely hard and showcase skills on game day, at a concert, girl scout meeting, etc." About eight months and eighty music videos later, Riff Raff is still pushing the take-out box movement. Between his Icee chain, endless string of discount neon plastic sunglasses, cosmic bowling-themed checkered shirts and the vaguely mid-decade electro beat by Diplo and longtime Mad Decent producer/engineer Derek Allen, maybe the clearest thing at play here is a serious, serious level of not-giving-a-fuckery. Good taste is a fiction. Edith Sitwell called it "the worst vice ever invented." If you didn't sort of hate it, I don't think Riff Raff would do it. How far can he take it? When does decorum break so we can all stop caring too?
