Though it was first posted online just a month ago, "Doldrums" by Fear of Men has snuck up and become one of my most hummed songs of the year. The band's self-released Alice Munro Demos Cassette Tape went on sale this morning and sold out right away, but watching this music video should be fine consolation for the sleeper-inners among us. Directed by Natalie Gravy in what appears to be her debut, the video's a pretty/sad mythologizing of human statues as people frozen in the shit-state of stalled relationships. Maybe that's reading into it, but "doldrums" is just the best word and I think you can make it mean whatever you want.
