The new video for M.I.A.’s reworked Vicki Leekx track “Bad Girls” showcases desert stunt driving in what’s meant to look like a dreamy Saudi Arabian scene. Directed by Romain Gavras, the piece was actually filmed in Ouarzazate, Morocco. With big wardrobe changes, flames and lots of well-dressed extras, it looks more audaciously expensive than the video that M.I.A. shot with Madonna and Nicki Minaj, also released today.

MIA always stunts hard. She is definitely an artist not to sleep on. I wish American radio could see how hot she is, but they keep locking her to that “Paper Planes” track (a hot track, but MIA has tons more to offer).
More style over substance, she really needs to elevate lyrically to the next level or she’ll remain obscure.
