Metro Zu, a Miami-based art rap collective, recently released a record entitled Mink Rug with contributions from Spaceghostpurrp and Young L. The record is a hodgepodge of styles, keeping in line with the group's unconventional, seemingly art school-influenced approach. An easy highlight is "Wave Cap," a straightforward rap song which doesn't feature any particularly internet-famous names but knocks regardless. Towards the end there's some disturbing singing that I don't quite understand the appeal of, but I'll chalk it up to the kids these days, who are maybe watching too much porn. Or maybe it's ironic?
