Gorillaz mastermind Damon Albarn got Andre 3000 and James Murphy into a London studio last September to record fast-funk freakout, “DoYaThing” for Converse’s Three Artists, One Song series. 3000 delivers a euphoric, minute-long freestyle, rhyming sploooshy sploosh with blooopdie bloop. He also offers the uniquely-ATLien diss you ain’t Willie B., referring to the silverback gorilla who lived at Zoo Atlanta for almost 40 years. (Or he’s talking about Geto Boys rapper Willie D.)
An extended mega-version of “DoYaThing” will be released following the debut of the the track’s animated video on Wednesday, February 29th. Download the four-minute version from Converse, below, and check out Albarn and Jamie Hewlett’s Gorillaz-inspired collection of Chuck Taylor’s here.

Update 2/24/2012: Stream the foul-mouthed, 13-minute version of “DoYaThing” via Seattle’s 107.7 The End, here.

I’m absolutely crazy about this!
Si señor! A fuego!!!
very ill. oh, and 3000 says “Willie D” not Willie B. you know, Rap-A-Lot? Geto Boys? Scarface, Willie D, Bushwick Bill? yeah.
That’s devastating, Willie B. more slept on than Geto Boys
Oh man. Converse stop trying to fund “dream groups” in order to peddle shoes. This can’t be life.
