Video: Buddy Bag, "Swimming"

Buddy Bag are a three-piece from Brooklyn that put out an album last year and are only now getting around to releasing videos for it, probably because their music is the kind of bruised, abused punk that's better left for banging around in your imagination or fighting your way through at a show. "Swimming" is almost campily nihilistic—so ugly it's pretty, so bleak it's funny. So what does a video look like for something this sadly high and happily low? A yuppie man and woman fighting over a leopard print scarf. Unexpected, maybe, but fitting for sure—a violent tug-of-war over something cute, aggressiveness and anger all over something as common as a day's outfit.
