Detroit's Sheefy McFly is a rapper/producer who has worked with Danny Brown, Boldy James and Dopehead. The tracks on his recent release, Northernplayalistikcapricemuzik have a ragged feel, McFly marshaling an amalgamation of mainstream and underground influences to his own ends. Standout "Sucka Niggas" strikes an effective balance between dilapidation and craft. There's also a nice tension between the agression of the verses and the spiritual female vocals that follow them.
