Feist’s video for "Bittersweet Melodies," a song from last fall's Metals LP, at first seems like a zero-budget slideshow of that generally adorable and usually super-sad "Now and Then" style of photographic set piece, in which grown-ups recreate snapshots from their childhood (mortality :(). But the quality here's high: the images and refreshing, grin-filled behind-the-scenes videos all come from Argentinian photographer Irina Werning's Back to the Future project. Werning told Rolling Stone, who premiered the video, "When I fall in love with a picture I don't stop until I have them in front of me dressed like this doing that thing they were doing. I'm always amazed that they do it." Feist will have a new split 7-inch with metal group Mastodon out on Record Store Day.
