Dana Buoy is the solo alias of Akron/Family percussionist Dana Janssen, who’s prepping his debut LP, Summer Bodies, for release early this summer (of course). Before the album was touched-up in Brooklyn, he recorded “in a bungalow near a jungle lagoon in Thailand,” which, while making me loathe my desk, chair and the trash-air around me, to Janssen’s credit confirms “So Lucky” as the genuinely happy work of a charmed life. With big strums and a tropical tint, Summer Bodies comes out May 8th on Lefse.
