The ever on-point Chicago duo The-Drum have joined a small army of producers in remixing Soft Metals' self-titled LP for a new 12-inch collection out mid-June on Sweating Tapes. The romantic synth-pop of the original "Psychic Driving" has been slowed to a hearse's crawl, vocals pitch-shifted and re-ordered exquisitely. Logan Owlbeemoth produced the beautifully screwed video by running a flea market VHS copy of Brainwaves through his circuit-bent Archer video processor. The final cherry on top: Proceeds from record sales go to Doctors Without Borders, so you can feel great about picking up a copy next week.
