Interview: Elite Gymnastics

Elite Gymnastics, the duo of James Brooks and Josh Clancy, known for their devastating lyrics and creative visuals, played two shows in New York last week, their first in the city. At FADER offices, the pair recounted meeting at school in Minnesota—an upsetting story, actually, but one brightened immeasurably by a sly Taylor Swift quotation—as well as their experiences touring with Sleigh Bells, the difficulty of re-creating dense production live and their hopes to stay honest through it all.
