There is a faction of kids in almost everyone’s high school that ditched gym to play hackey sack and preferred wooden earrings and stacks and stacks of dreads to letterman jackets and crew cuts, and if we remember correctly, the bottom half of their outfits always looked something like these shorts, from Japanese brand Mountain Mania. Call it new hippie swag, if you like, and maybe it’s just the hot weather talking, but crunchy styles are suddenly looking good to us. (via 84/85)
