Halifax producer Ryan Hemsworth employs a wisely delicate touch on his bootleg remix of Frank Ocean’s Channel Orange standout “Thinkin Bout You.” His edit opens with the original track’s tender strings at front and center, then fills out with some melodic flourishes and a laid back, writhing drum beat, concluding in a rush of whirling synths. “I wanted to give it a little more oomf without destroying it,” says Hemsworth, whose Last Words EP, featuring five original tracks and four remixes, drops August 21st via WEDIDIT.
