Video: Sir Michael Rocks, “Now You Do”

August 06, 2012

Even before The Cool Kids’ widely under-appreciated debut LP When Fish Ride Bicycles was released last year, the group's Chuck Inglish and Mikey Rocks had already begun exploring separate avenues of creation. Inglish was by then in great demand as a producer and Rocks made solo songs like The Bake Sale EP's most celebrated single, "Mikey Rocks." Now, further stepping out as a full fledged solo artist, Rocks (who has apparently been knighted) has released Lap of Lux, a street album reaffirming his penchant for high end material goods and low end bangers. The Lana Del Rey-sampling, "Now You Do" (produced by Flosstradamus) is a great jump-off point. David Muniz directed the video, the two having worked together for Michael's similarly affirmative, "Whassup." Watch "Now You Do" above and download Sir Michael Rocks' full Lap of Lux below.
