Originally intended as a hometown hero’s theme, Bronx rapper C-Rayz Walz has dropped “LINsanity” from his upcoming album, The Code, and instead released it for free. Maybe so Houstonites can get hype. Good for them. Sorry, sore subject. Walz is quick with a pun and there’s a couple good ones: Linsane in the Limbrain, New York Linute, Super Lintendo. This is less a salve for heartbreak than an unfortunate anachronism, or, if you’re feeling kinder, an instant golden oldie. Looking forward to his next song, “Eat It, Dolan.”
