Gwyneth Paltrow Loves Chief Keef

August 10, 2012

Today, Gwyneth Paltrow, buddy to Beyonce and Nas, fledgling rapper and big Azealia Banks fan, shares a 13-song playlist of summer jams on Jay-Z’s site, Life + Times. Every pick is accompanied by Paltrow one-liners; On FADER cover star Chief Keef, she says, "I’m waiting for a clean version [of "I Don't Like"] to be released. Until then I’ll just play it in my car.” Frank Ocean's Channel Orange "might be a masterpiece"; Juicy J's "Who Da Neighbors" is "just as brilliant as it is funny.” She slips a little in her review of Pinback, misspelling bass when she says "Loro" has a "really unexpected base line.” She also likes Kendrick Lamar, Grimes, Beach House, the Fugazi/Wu-Tang mashup album and even French Montana's "Pop That," but only because Rozay's involved (“Rick Ross puts me in a good mood, he just does.”) Gwyneth Paltrow, are you reading FADER? Send a mailing address to letters@thefader.com and we'll send over some mags.
