In the style of most great Scandinavian pop music, Norwegian duo Machine Birds’ "The Way It's Meant to Be" is tagged on Vimeo with both "happiness" and "sadness." The video was directed by Kyrre Mathisen and Arne Pedersen with an eye toward the beautifully mundane; it stars no people, but a lot of thrown objects, like the cathartic destruction part after a breakup turned out to be more enlivening than the relationship before it. "The Way It's Meant to Be" comes from Machine Birds' Save Yourself EP, out now via Nabovarsel.
