Stream Cup’s Album Red Book

September 10, 2012

The Finnish duo behind Shine 2009 self-released their incredible, upbeat Red Book LP recently under a new alias, Cup. Inspired sonically by happy hardcore and conceptually by Carl Jung's private journal cataloguing his self-induced hallucinations, the album's a speeding blend of heady and high energy. Imagine it's the last day of space camp and you had a water balloon fight in zero gravity; now make that a song. Everything's pitched up all the time, and even the track called "Funeral :(" is ecstatic. Stream the whole album, buy it for $7 on iTunes and, below, watch two amazing videos by Jaakko Pallasvuo.
