NYC: All Tomorrow’s Parties, September 21-23


The All Tomorrow’s Parties I’ll Be Your Mirror Festival returns this weekend, with a new location (New York City’s Pier 36) and killer lineup curated by Afghan Whigs frontman Greg Dulli. Along with the reunited Afghan Whigs, Frank Ocean, Philip Glass and Tyondai Braxton, The Roots, Demdike Stare, Hannibal Buress and many more will perform this Friday through Sunday.   3. Although he gave this jewel to Bey, I still prefer the subtlety and innocence of his performance of “I miss you”. It’s in the words. The Words that probably abated you (at one time in your life) when you needed to say them the most and you’re with him through every word. To hear them sung with such gentle conviction is what makes it beautiful. Simple, and sincerely lovely. I love this clip.
