The Things I Carry: RZA

We always like to know what some of our favorite artists carry in their purses (and man-purses)—the essential items that they need for touring or subway rides, the Grammys or any other thing that they might be doing these days, which is why we’ve made it a regular column on the site.

RZA, the Wu-Tang architect turned actor/director, is in town promoting his Quentin Tarantino-endorsed kung-fu film, The Man With The Iron Fists. He stopped by FADER offices to talk about learning the film business and life in LA (interview coming soon!), and gamely emptied his pockets. He travels with pro essentials: peanuts for a protein boost, limo service card, Soho Grand hotel key and a little silica gel packet, to keep his jacket fresh. The Man With The Iron Fistssoundtrack, featuring Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa and the entire Wu-Tang Clan, drops October 23rd.
