Seems like a good bet that none of the members of The 1975 were alive in that year. Their driving rock is more a product of the late ’90s, anyway, though with much heavier drums. The UK loves to provide us with glistening guitars and a singer aching over love gone wrong and, for now, The 1975 look like the best of the bunch. They're newly signed to Vagrant and are now in the studio with Mike Crossey who has produced for Arctic Monkeys. Album on the way next year, with the Sex EP coming in November.
