Kendrick Lamar's major label debut is on pace to sell more than 240,000 copies, by far one of the strongest first-week showings for a rap album this year (Nick Minaj sold 253,000 copies of Roman Reloaded in a week, Jeezy's Thug Motivation: 103 sold 233,000.) Returning the favor, he's released another fan appreciation freebie, produced by J. Cole with New York's Canei Finch and mixed by TDE's in-house engineer Ali. With the line I pray to god this beat is good enough for Shyne/ If not J. Cole your shit is traaaash/ Well at least my opinion just made everyone laugh, Kendrick cheerfully pokes fun at Shyne, who expressed his distaste for the beats on good kid, m.A.A.d city last week.
