Beyonce to Direct Feature-Length Documentary About Herself

Though once media shy, Beyonce has opened up considerably this year, launching a candid Tumblr and (admittedly quiet) Twitter account and documenting outfits on Instagram. A new, self-directed, feature-length documentary will invite fans even closer, according to a press release. Set to air February 13, 2013, on HBO, the film will feature home movies from Beyonce's Houston childhood, footage shot by Beyonce with her laptop and live performances, as well as address Beyonce's decision to cut business ties with her father and manage her own career and company. The film's release will follow Bey's Super Bowl halftime show, taking place February 3 in New Orleans.
