Stream: Prince Rama, “So Destroyed (Mark McGuire Remix)”

November 27, 2012

Of the many fictional bands that the Larson sisters incarnated on their recent Ten Hits For The End of The World LP, Rage Peace, a nihilistic grunge band from the early '90s, somehow ended up producing the catchiest dance number. With all the repetitive chanting, "So Destroyed" sounded pretty new age to begin with, but this rework by Emeralds guitarist Mark Mcguire pushes the whole thing straight into Deep Forest territory, replete with some pretty well-timed beat drops and a bassline so funky that it sounds comically self-aware. Read our recent interview with McGuire and his Emeralds compadres, and grab a copy of Ten Hits via Paw Tracks. Prince Rama tour dates below.
