Young Scooter, the Atlanta rapper who's emerged from the wings of Future's Freebandz crew following regional radio hit "Colombia" and a Gucci Mane cosign, released a new mixtape, Street Lottery, earlier this week. It's a solid collection featuring local vets like Big Bank Black and OJ Da Juiceman, and songs featuring Ca$h Out where Scooter stretches to sing in the style of Ca$h Out. Standout "Julio" drapes short, chanted lines ending in the track's title over skeletal drums and empty space. Future's brief verse takes a quarter turn away from the formula—Julio becoming hula hoop, bare crags filled with wide-mouthed heeeh! adlibs. With its tone of uplift, "Beautiful Day" featuring Travis Porter is an outlier. For more tracks teaming Future, Scooter and the Freebandz guys (recently signed to Epic as a block), look forward to their upcoming collaborative tape, Future Presents F.B.G.: The Movie, due out January 13th.
