Returning home is always interesting, but if you’re Meek Mill, riding high on the success of your major label debut Dreams and Nightmares, coming home—in this case Philadelphia—is a whole different thing entirely. Meek’s first stop was a signing at FYE, which featured a litany of adoring fans (including a few crying ones) anxious to get their albums and posters signed. Later that night, Meek performed at a private party made possible by Puma and DJ Booth. Before he hit the stage at Sigma Sound Studios, two lucky emcees got to showcase their skill for a rapt audience. When Meek did come out, he was all energy—running through a selection of new hits and favorites with so much skill that Miley Cyrus, who was recording downstairs, came to check him out.
