LA newcomer Banks scored a Lil Silva beat for “Work,” a straight-to-YouTube collaboration before her soon-to-be-announced proper debut single. (The British producer’s got a new release just around the corner, too, with “The Split” and “Venture” on vinyl January 21st, via his label LS Whites.) “Work” is forceful but not explosive—neither Silva nor Banks ever really let loose, though it seems like they both could—and a bit removed from her supposed inspirations Fiona Apple and Lauryn Hill. Actually, the potential merging of this sound and those is what’s getting us most curious. Keep an eye out.

I agree with you Duncan! She’s ALMOST there. Some fresh sounds in there though. Can’t wait to hear some more from them and see what comes out of this collab. Thanks for sharing!
