The Things I Carry: Young Chop

We always like to know what some of our favorite artists carry in their purses (and man-purses)—the essential items that they need for touring or subway rides, the Grammys or any other thing that they might be doing these days, which is why we’ve made it a regular column on the site.

Young Chop stopped by FADER offices last week. Having just hopped off a plane, his load was minimal: just a new and unfortunately cracked phone, iPad, wallet and necklaces, plus an empty bag of Skittles, the airport breakfast his mom, who had accompanied him, polished-off before he had the chance to. Check back tomorrow for our full interview with the producer.

  1. Todd says:

Such an over-rated producer. This clown uses the same snare and drums on every beat he makes. The only thing different in his beats are the piano chords. Zero production goes into his beats.

  2. Chops beats are tough, if your looking for that new raw gritty sound Chop got it.

now what I dont understand is how he doesnt like Kanye West beat remix of “I Dont Like?”

Kanyes version had so much more musicality in it, and you could immediately hear the differance in the mixes quality. Chop, you should want to work with Kanye more on your beats dude.
