Mad Decent Block Party, the traveling festival bringing all-day performances and activities to 13 big and small cities this year, will sell tickets for the first time this year. A limited number of discounted $20 early bird tickets are available starting today at the MDBP website. Each early bird ticket comes with a free, 30-day membership to Mad Decent's premium subscription service. The label's statement about ticketing the parties:
The Block Parties have grown exponentially in the last few years, both in the number of cities we are visiting and in the number of people who would like to attend. Due to the continual need to expand venues and book bigger artists, the best solution for all involved was to make the Block Parties ticketed events. This will not only help ensure a smooth, guaranteed entry for all ticket holders, but also allow us to bring you the best and brightest talent within the Mad Decent universe at the biggest and coolest locations! We look forward to seeing you all this summer!
