On the heels of last year's Know Thyself release on Sun Araw imprint Sun Ark, globe-trotting French solo artist High Wolf has a record coming out on Not Not Fun. "707," which may or may not be named in reference to the drum machine he's using, weaves woodsy beats, scorched guitar meanderings and reverberating man grunts into a hypnotic, jungle-caricaturing plateau; sound palette-wise, it'll probably feel familiar to fans of Spencer Clark and early Ducktails, but the arpeggiated zone-out at the end lends it a cosmic orientation all its own. Kairos: Chronos is out June 11th.
