Casely-Hayford Reimagines Snoop Dogg’s Hockey Jerseys

July 10, 2013

Well, sort of. As we told you in January, father-son fashion duo Joe and Charlie Casely-Hayford took inspiration for their fall collection from Snoop Dogg's penchant in the 1990s for rocking hockey jerseys, but as with every idea that filters through the London designers' brains, the results are subtle, intellectual, grown up and, quite frankly, perfect. The oversized nylon styles popular in sports arenas became just a template for the Casely-Hayford's to riff on geometry, fit and color, finding them doing a series of slouchy sweaters in collegiate shades of orange and red, with a few player numbers sewn in and their team name KINGSLAND (the mixed cultural neighborhood in Dalston that influences so much of their designs) stitched on the back for a bit of fun. Check out the full collection below, plus see what might be THE BEST ANIMATED GIF OF ALL TIME of Snoop in one of his OG jerseys. (via Hypebeast)
