Archie Pelago is the rare Brooklyn electronic trio that includes classical cellist and a conservatory trained jazz saxophonist. Since putting out a self-titled EP on Mister Saturday Night records, they've been intriguing the experimental dance music community with their delicate melodies and inventive combination of analog instrumentation and electronic beat-work. "Breezy Whey" is as elegant an introduction to their sound as any, melding four-to-the-floor rhythmics with a foundation of husky reeds and rapid-fire pizzicato. It's the a-side of a new 12-inch they have coming out on July 22nd via their brand new imprint, Archie Pelago Music.
