FADER PREMIERE

Chicago's Vic Mensa, the friendly creative rival of Chance the Rapper who once adorably dressed up as Jimi Hendrix, released a promising solo debut, INNANETAPE, last month. Here's a video for sticky tape track, "YNSP," which was produced by DJ Dahi and features sometimes Disclosure guest vocalist Eliza Doolittle. Directed by Nem Perez, it's a holographic cascade of browser windows that reminds me of the internet "tunnel" art M.I.A. created for her 2010 album /\/\ /\ Y /\. You know they saying we up next/ But fuck that I'm right now Mensa boasts on "YNSP," but he's got a lot to look forward to in 2014; catch him on a North American tour with Disclosure starting in January.
