Meadham Kirchhoff didn’t water down their weirdness in their latest Topshop collection. The 80-piece line is as delightfully bizarro as their spring 14 collection—only it’s less gangsta Little Bo Peep and more metal-head Rainbow Brite. The frilly-psych collection is emblazoned with pentagrams, from the patchwork leather jacket and jeans to the buckles on the over-the-rainbow Dorothy slippers, in an homage to duo’s influences, Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids, Kembra Pfahler and glam rock. “This collection for Topshop was inspired by the idea of a band or a gang which we named 'The Cherrys',” the duo, Edward Meadham and Benjamin Kirchhoff, told Topshop. “It is an enormous and all-encompassing collection which will offer a myriad of choice for any customer to adapt or reject as they see fit." Plus, starting at $8 for socks, it’s an affordable sartorial risk. Hurry up over to Topshop before it sells out.
