Trend Report: Sporty Looks From Pre-Fall 2014

Designers release their small pre-fall collections in between their marquee, major event fall and spring lines, and perhaps in part because they are generally a lower key affair than the big seasonal runway shows, it allows designers to be more playful and imaginative with their designs. As the collections have been rolling out this past week on Style.com, we've totally picked up on the sporty vibe that brands like Thakoon, Opening Ceremony and Rag + Bone have been laying down of late. From Alexander Wang's leathery anoraks to DKNY's femme take on basketball shorts to Phillip Lim's shearling trimmed sneakers, we're forecasting an extra-playful and equally chic pre-fall in the coming year.
