Shop 6 of Opening Ceremony's Craziest Menswear Pieces

New York Times street syle photographer and legend Bill Cunningham has spent decades snapping all the trends he sees on the sidewalk, and his street-level view of what people are actually wearing has always given him probably the best insight in the business. Last month, he filed a story about the new futurism of menswear, and we should all probably listen up to the revolution he sees coming, especially because it's his second story in just a year about modern man's malleability: "The cutting edge of fashion is definitely reflected in the young men experimenting with new technologies in fabrics and daring cuts and colors." We've long heralded the increasing weirdness in menswear, and it looks like mega-boutique and trendsetter Opening Ceremony does too—their spring stock of goodies, newly in stores, is filled to the brim with far-out fashions for guys to indulge their wackiest impulses. Here are six cutting-edge looks for the 21st century.
