Drake Perfects the #Artselfie at James Turrell Show

Gallerist points out that, following a visit to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art yesterday, Drake posted three consecutive Instagram photos of himself at the space's James Turrell retrospective, striking a series of statuesque, contemplative poses inside the artist's enveloping light installations. A gram of the singer staring obliquely into the distance within a bath of hot pink color was tagged with the word "Lost"; another, featuring Drake in something of a crouching Thinker pose, he labeled "Turrell x OVO," hinting at a desired collaboration with the 70-year-old MacArthur Genius grant winner.

Will Turrell be working the lights at OVO Fest in Toronto this year? Maybe not, but it's not like weirder marriages between hip-hop and the fine art world haven't already been happening. For more on Turrell, read our review of his retrospective at the Guggenheim.
