FADER PREMIERE

Founder of the hip-hop label crew Hellfyre Club and a long-time host of Low End Theory, Los Angeles rapper James McCall, bka Nocando, is set to release his second album, Jimmy The Burnout, on March 18th. The crazy cut-up vox and jaunty rhythmics of this latest single, though, sound fresh and smart and quite the opposite of music you'd expect a true "burnout" to make, even as the rapper's words recall a kind of comically half-assed attempt to win over a woman who's already on another man's arm: I'm too old to break shit/ so your heart's safe. Jimmy the Burnout is out via Hellfyre Club/Alpha Pup. Dates for Nocando's March, Hellfyre Club Tour with Milo, Busdriver and Open Mike Eagle below.
