Listen to Simian Ghost's Bubbly Breakup Song

FADER PREMIERE

On their new single "Never Really Knew," Swedish trio Simian Ghost sound twee in the best way. Their warm indie-pop is like a sympathetic hug from a friend—someone who says "I know how you feel" and actually means it. Despite lyrical melancholy (in the shadow of my teenage life…), "Never Really Knew" is a bright, bubbly breakup song; it radiates with a "it's better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all" sweetness. The single is off their third full-length, The Veil, out now on Playground Music.
