Watch Young Thug Dance like No One’s Watching In “The Blanguage” Video

Young Thug and Metro Boomin bro down in the “Steady Mobbin”-inspired video for their eerie collaboration “The Blanguage.”

Young Thug and Metro Boomin are making an album as Metro Thuggin–since clearly Thug doesn't have enough collaborative full-lengths on his plate, from the just-released Young Thugga Mane La Flare to the Black Portland sophomore release to his promised collaborative tape with Rich Homie Quan. "The Blanguage" is Metro Thuggin's excellent first single and it finally has a video. The song's a riff on Drake's "The Language" that gradually unravels into something far weirder; Thug compares himself to Malcolm in the Middle, then a cantaloupe, then spirals into tormented, piano-backed balladeering. But though it's an eerie, somber affair production-wise, the video's pure antics, drawing inspiration from Lil Wayne and Gucci Mane's wily "Steady Mobbin" video, one of Thug's favorites. The duo bro down in a dim-lit parking lot wearing Uggs and a Davy Crockett hat and dance like no one's watching in a lean-filled kitchen; Thug's flailing dance at 3:30 is the best visual of the year.
