Listen to Bok Bok’s Mischievous “Da Foxtrot”

Event Particpant - Performance

You can’t stop…. dancing, whispers a mystery singer on the intro to Night Slugs co-founder Bok Bok‘s “Da Foxtrot” from his new EP Your Charizmatic Self, which also features that seamless Kelela collaboration. It’s a mischievous number–all smoochy keys, rave calls and fidgety percussion–that is alien to neither the titular smooth ballroom dance nor slow R&B jam, yet is way too fluid to sit in one place. In other words, as ever, plenty of angles to make new shapes to. Night Slugs will release Your Charizmatic Self on May 26th and you can preorder it here in physical form or nab digital here. Plus, read an interview with Bok Bok and L-Vis 1990 about six years of Night Slugs and the launch of their Club Constructions Community.

Her father is her foundation and she says it will
be very hard being out of touch with him for so long while in the house.
Even though her father does not agree with her body art, he loves and supports
her in everything she does. Lucky for her, she already
has all of those—the confidence, the smarts, and an hourglass figure that she doesn’t even have to bust her ass for at the gym.
