Drift Away to Portable Sunsets' Melty Jam, "Loft Mentality"

Some people can take 10-minute naps like it's nothing. Fall asleep in a flash and wake up moments later with a spring in their step. I've tried and I've failed. I need eight hours to feel human. A 10-minute jam can have a nap effect, though, in providing a space to let your mind drift away from material concerns. Okay, it's only seven minutes long but "Loft Mentality" by NYC-based producer Portable Sunsets is such a song. Taken from his Rental EP, which came out this week on Berlin/Amsterdam label Atomnation, it's a melty, ambient techno number that unravels at that ideal, drift-away pace.
