Tyler, the Creator, Katy Perry, Nick Cave, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Mark Mothersbaugh of Devo, Kirk Hammett of Metallica, and Danny Elfman now have at least one thing in common: they've all recorded their own covers of the 1892 song "Daisy Bell (Bicycle Built for Two)," best known for HAL 9000 computer's rendition as it was dying in 2001: A Space Odyssey. The artists were brought together by Mark Ryden for an LP released in conjunction with his exhibit "The Gay 90s" at the Los Angeles Kohn Gallery, called The Gay Nineties Old Tyme Music: Daisy Bell. Ryden and Tyler have teamed up before on the artwork for last year's Wolf. Listen to the covers below, each of which come with their own bizzaro visuals.
