Jay-Z's been dabbling in high fashion circles for some time, most recently cross-pollenating with Tom Ford, but this one surprised us. The rapper was spotted in New York rocking women's label Rodarte's mesh football jersey from their S/S 14 drop. Designers Laura and Kate Mulleavy have been disrupting womenswear since they popped up in 2005, sneaking in references from safety-pinned punk to Star Wars prints on runway-ready pieces. But several dots connect here, namely that his latest summer look recalls classic Dynasty-era Jay–an XL jersey, baggy jeans sitting on unlaced Timbs, and a thick gold rope. Is it too early to say the Aughts are back?
