Joywave Made a Pro-Nudity, Bizarro Art Video for “Tongues”

Joywave’s video for “Tongues,” their collaborative single with Kopps, stars a gaggle of naked hippies.

Recently, Rochester five-piece Joywave self-released their debut EP, How Do You Feel?. "Tongues," the EP's snappy lead single and a collaboration with fellow Upstate New York outfit Kopps, has been kicking around the internet since last year, but these 16mm visuals from director duo The Daniels are surprising enough to make us do a double auditory take. The premise is absurdist enough to feel like an outtake from '70s anarchist cult classic Sweet Movie: a violent clash in the woods between a gaggle of naked hippies and a bunch of dudes in hunting outfits who shoot clothing out of their rifles instead of bullets. How Do You Feel? is available now via Cultco Music.
